Saddle Pad Construction

1. Ballistic Nylon / Cordura® Top Layer – 0.5 mm

The outer layer is made from durable Ballistic Nylon and Cordura®, materials known for their exceptional resistance to wear and tear.

2. Premium Technical Felt Core – 16 mm

At the heart of the pad is a premium technical felt core with a wool blend, selected for its optimal combination of shock absorption, flexibility, and durability.

Unlike traditional heavy all-wool felt pads, technical felt offers excellent impact absorption while remaining lighter and more flexible. It adapts better to the horse's movement, helps maintain saddle stability, and retains its shape even with regular use.

We intentionally chose technical felt because it provides outstanding performance without the unnecessary weight often associated with thick all-wool pads.

3. Merino Wool Felt Bottom Layer – 3 mm

The bottom layer is made from genuine Merino Wool Felt and sits directly against your horse's back.

This is the most important contact point between the saddle pad and your horse, which is why we chose merino wool. It is widely recognized as one of the finest natural materials used in western saddle pads due to its comfort, breathability, and moisture-management properties.

Unlike neoprene or fully synthetic materials, merino wool allows the horse's back to breathe, helps wick moisture away from the skin, and supports natural temperature regulation. This helps keep your horse more comfortable during long rides, training sessions, and warm weather conditions.
